Privacy Policy

How Private Tools handles your data, privacy, and security.

Our approach

Private Tools runs entirely in your browser. We do not collect, store, or transmit your input. All processing happens locally; nothing is sent to a server.

Data we do not collect

  • No account creation or login.
  • No analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party scripts.
  • No storage of your inputs, outputs, or files.

Local processing

Hashing, encoding, formatting, and cryptographic operations are executed locally using browser APIs and locally bundled libraries. If a tool offers download buttons, files are generated locally in your session.

Permissions and clipboard

Some tools may ask for clipboard access solely to copy content you explicitly request. We do not read from your clipboard without your action, and we do not transmit clipboard data.

Third-party libraries

We bundle select open-source libraries locally (e.g., OpenPGP.js, bcrypt.js, @iarna/toml). See the licenses page for details.

Cookies

Private Tools does not set tracking cookies. If your browser or extensions add cookies, they are outside our control.

Updates

We may update this policy as tools change. Significant changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
