What is EXIF data?

EXIF (Exchangeable Image File Format) is metadata embedded in JPEG photos. It can include GPS location, camera model, and date/time. Some tools also show non-EXIF headers (like JFIF/ICC) as ©metadata©.

How it works

We redraw your image using the HTML5 Canvas API and export a fresh file. Canvas exports pixel data only, which removes embedded EXIF blocks from JPEGs.

When to use this

Before sharing photos publicly. If a checker still flags ©metadata©, look specifically for GPS / Exif fields. If you want maximum compatibility with picky checkers, use Force PNG (strict).
